At Messiah Montessori School, we are constantly looking for innovative ways to build a strong academic foundation for our students. One of our most successful specialized programs is our Abacus training.
Learning to use the abacus helps children visualize numbers, translating abstract mathematical concepts into tangible, physical movements. Over time, students learn to visualize the abacus in their minds, allowing them to perform complex calculations with remarkable speed and accuracy without a calculator.
Beyond mathematics, abacus training has been proven to enhance concentration, improve memory retention, and boost overall brain development by stimulating both the left and right hemispheres. We are thrilled to see our students excel in their mental math abilities and tackle problem-solving with renewed confidence.
